A young couple who are first time parents have welcomed their first born into the world (about 8 weeks early) and are staying at the Ronald McDonald house in Boise as she works her way through NICU.
Obviously, her decision to come 8 weeks early has impacted their ability to “nest” and fully prepare their home for her arrival.
Her local church family in their neighborhood has been working to try to get things ready for them.
One of the big needs the church shared with me this morning was the need for a new Washer and Dryer. Mike Powell went through them to see what was wrong and determined it would just be better to get new ones.
We could scrape the bottom of the barrel and probably get by with $600 to get them a washer and dryer. But, we would also love to get them a nice set that will last.
That is why we are shooting for a $1200 goal to get them a nice set and get it installed before they get home.
Would you pray about giving?
